THE SHOOTINGS at Fort Hood on November 5 dominate the news today, and rightly so. We discuss Major Nidal Malik Hasan and his connection to a couple of the 9/11 hijackers. We also discussed an odd detail connected to the shootings in Orlando the day after the terror event at Fort Hood. And what is reported as an H1N1 outbreak in Ukraine continues to spread rapidly. As of today, over a million have contracted the flu, nearly 53,000 are hospitalized, and 174 have died.
Instead of fixating on these things, which Christ told us to expect, take a break and remember the words of Paul:
[W]hatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
THE TITLE of tonight’s show is a reference to the conspiracy investigated by journalist Danny Casolaro, a scheme was so vast and complex that Casolaro called it “the Octopus”. Casolaro was found dead in a hotel room in West Virginia in August of 1991, his wrists slashed 10 to 12 times. His death was, of course, ruled a suicide.
