AS WE’RE still enjoying a visit from Sharon’s sister, we take advantage of the opportunity to bring back an interview that hasn’t been online for a couple of years: in October of 2005, in the wake of Hurricanes Katrina, Hurricane Stan and the devastating earthquake in Pakistan, we spoke with Stan Deyo twice in the span of a week.
Stan’s life reads like a spy thriller — except that most people would find the plot too hard to believe.
IN A move that’s clearly intended to send a message to Iran, the Israeli navy has sailed two of its most advanced missile boats through the Suez Canal and into the Red Sea. Only ten days ago, an Israeli submarine believed to be equipped with cruise missiles armed with nuclear warheads made the same passage.
The message is direct: “We can move nuclear weapons within range anytime we want.”
