PRESIDENT TRUMP and his administration riled up Europe this week by dragging reality into the chatroom.
Trump talked by phone with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin about ending the war in Ukraine, and Vance criticized foolish policies that admitted tens of millions of migrants into Europe who have no interest in assimilating into their host countries. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said the quiet part out loud, telling Ukraine that the war will not end with a return to the pre-2014 borders; in other words, Russia is going to keep Crimea and the Donbas.
At the same time, Trump announced new tariffs on imports intended to stimulate investment in domestic manufacturing. It’s a hard truth: The United States no longer has the industrial capacity to win a war with China or Russia.
As RealClearDefense reported Friday, a single Chinese shipyard has more production capacity than all of America’s shipyards combined, and while the US has burned through its munitions stockpiles at an alarming rate over the past three years of the Russia-Ukraine war, the Russians, with a GDP that’s just 1/15th of America’s, has kept its troops supplied with bullets and artillery shells.
So, as he takes steps to put America first again, the question is this: Is President Trump destroying the New World Order?
We don’t know. We recognize the danger of technocracy, which aims to build the global infrastructure of a future one-world government, and Elon Musk is nothing if not a technocrat. Will Trump, Musk, Vance, and the rest derail the ambitions of Klaus Schwab and the World Economic Forum or is this a theopolitical head fake, step one in a great deception?
We don’t know. What we do know is this: Jesus said when we see wars and rumors of war, earthquakes, famines, pestilences, terrors and great signs in heaven, we should panic and scream in terror “straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near” (Luke 21:28).
