WATCHMEN opened #1 at the box office last weekend after months of delay due to a legal battle between Fox and Warner Brothers over the distribution rights. No wonder; the book on which the film is based is the most influential graphic novel of the last 25 years.
Author Alan Moore has also penned the graphic novels-turned-movies V For Vendetta, From Hell, and he created the ceremonial magician character John Constantine for the comic Hellblazer, which was adapted into the Keanu Reeves vehicle Constantine.
Taylor Kent, AKA the Snarky Avenger, is a longtime fan and critic of comics and graphic novels, and he joined us this week to discuss the themes and influence of graphic novels on our culture.
